Gilas Pilipinas Basketball

FIBA released a new video about Gilas Pilipinas and posted a question “A 6th FIBA Asia Championship title for the Philippines at #FIBAAsia2015?”

This means Philippines already won the Gold Medal in the FIBA Asia Championship 5 times, the tournament was previously called Asian Basketball Confederation (ABC) Championship and was inaugurated in Manila in 1960.

1 – 1960 in Manila
2 – 1963 in Taipei
3 – 1967 in Seoul
4 – 1973 in Manila
5 – 1985 in Kuala Lumpur

This means the Philippines have not won the Gold Medal in 30 years and the closest we got was Silver Medal in the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship in Manila.
