From the Gilas Pilipinas Player Pool, out of the FIBA World Cup line-up are Marcus Douthit, Jared Dillinger, Beau Belga, Jay Washington and Larry Fonacier (due to an injury).

Gilas ang pinakamaliit sa lahat ng team at lalo pang pinapaliit ni coach. Dami nmang magagaling at masmatatangkad sa pba. Sana binigyan ng pansin ni coach nuon pa. At sana natuto sya laban sa iran na nahirapan ang gilas dahil puro malalaki at matatangkad how much more ngayon na mas lalong malalaki. Khit ibang point guard ng kalaban nsa ave height 6’6 point guard palang at mabibilis pa. Pasensya na sa comment ko common sense lng ksi to in basketball height is might.

you have a lot of small players in the line-up. 3 point guards are enough and add on small forwards that can shoot midrange, defensive minded and could score points for the team. . i know those point guards are really good. .but this is dif. now. the opponents are big and we need to match up on them atleast with their height advantage. want jimmy alapag and gary david to give it to other players like jay washington and jared dilinger.
also, blatche is not a point guard, let paul lee and L.A. run the offense. . blatche is not a consistent and a reliable 3 point shooter atleast give it to jeff and other players that could shoot from deep. . i watch all the previous games of gilas and it sucks that blacthe is running the offense. it makes the offense slow and late defensive reaction, to many offensive rebounds for the opponent. sir chot if this is the gilas you want to be in the world cup . . it is not the best . . marcus is better then than blatche if this is the case. . philippines only lives on run and gun offense and now its gone. . just want gilas can give a win for the philipines. . thank you

Actually all concerns are valid but each players that is in the line up now has its own role and purpose. Lets stop the “Sana Si…..” concept. This doesn’t help the motivation of the players sacrificing there careers now training and learning for the fiba world. Remember there is no perfect team. Look even the best players in the world lost just like the Heat in their quest for the NBA 3 pit championship. We have to accept that maliit tayo but basketball is all our passion it may be our handicap but our biggest strength is our HEART, PUSO. That will give us a chance to conquer the impossible. Lets pray when the time comes GOD WILL BLESS US ALL GILAS PILIPINAS!!
Jared? Puro nlang cya. -.- they picked many guards for outside shooting. (3 pts) cause nahihirapan ang ating players to score under the rimb. I know cauz i watch it several times. if you really watch the tune up fights youll see na jared doesnt deseved it. Ung bumoboto kay jared, malamang isang tune up lng ang napanood ng mga bobo. Hehe. C gary is a shooter! No other comment! Haha.
