Alapag In, Castro Out of Asian Games Line-up

Jimmy Alapag

Jimmy Alapag has agreed to extend his National Team participation as he is set to replace the injured Jayson Castro in the Gilas Pilipinas Roster for the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon.

Jimmy Alapag posted this message on his twitter account (@JAlapag3)

Get well Andray Blatche, Jayson Castro, Paul Lee and Marc Pingris

Four Gilas Pilipinas players suffered minor injuries in the 2014 FIBA World Cup and needs rest in preparation for the 2014 Asian Games which starts September 19, 2014 in Incheon, South Korea. Gilas Pilipinas practice starts September 12 in Manila.

Although it looks like Andray Blatche will not be able to suit up for Gilas Pilipinas in the Asian Games unless the Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee or IAGOC changed their position before the start of the Tournament but nothing is final yet and we hope that with the help of FIBA, we will be able to convince IAGOC to let Blatche play.
