Japeth Aguilar led Ginebra with 18 points while LA Tenorio contributed 17 points as Ginebra beat San Mig Coffee in the opening day of the PBA Philippine Cup last November 17, 2013. Former Smart Gilas Dylan Ababou is back from an injury and scored 16 points while No. 1 pick Greg Slaughter with 10 points in his PBA debut. Former Smart Gilas Mark Barroca led San Mig Coffee with 14 points.

Even though we know that Iran is a very tall and strong team, Gilas Pilipinas never backed down. Philippines lost the Gold but fought valiantly against the Champions.

7 – Gilas Pilipinas defeating Kazakhstan by 30
It was a perfect game by Gilas Pilipinas both in offense and defense and a very big win against Kazakhstan to enter the final four. Gary David had his best game of the tournament with 22 points.
