Why Chot Reyes should be retained as Gilas Pilipinas Coach?
We all have been watching and reading comments by many so called experts calling on the resignation of Gilas Pilipinas Head Coach Chot Reyes.
We would like to hear the side of others who want to retain Chot Reyes as Gilas Pilipinas Coach. Why should he be retained as Gilas Pilipinas Coach?
A comment that we read is the experience by Chot Reyes in both the FIBA World Cup and Asian Games will be a great help in future tournaments as long as he learned something from it. Another issue is if we will have a new Head Coach, the players will need to learn a new system again and we do not know if that system will work against our opponents in Asia and the World.

In my own opinion retaining coach chot would be wrong decision because coach chot was one of the coaches that help GILAS back in the map of world basketball so coach chot would have enough experience to lead our national team for another Tournament it would be a great loss retaining coach chot…..
Ayos ang sistema ni Chot no problem about that, okay ang running game at the same time dumidepensa, dapat magkaroon ng adjustment sa ceiling, ang mga shooters dapat natin 6’5″ and above na mabibilis gumalaw (like Ranidel, Arwind, Ellis, Ganuelas etc.) at sana magkaroon ng isang penetrator na above the rim player at marunong ng foul bait (in the mold of Samboy or Vergel Meneses). Ang point guard naman dapat mataas ang shooting percentage sa arc at mataas din ang percentage ng assist at least 5 assist per game, okay lng kahit maliit basta magaling mag create ng situation like Jimmy Alapag. (marami qualified na point guard, Jason Castro, Barocca, Melton etc. Lastly yung mga sentro natin dapat paturuan ky Ildefonso or Patrimonio na maglaro s low post (head and shoulder fakes) sina Slaughter at Fajardo at Gian Chiu. Si Japeth ayos n yan sa 2 or 3 post.
SA TINGIN NYO KAYA KUNG IBA ANG NAGCOACH, MAGIGING DIKIT BA YUNG MGA LABAN NATIN SA FIBA WORLD? Me kasabihan nga, ang aktor daw sa una lang nagpapatalo, e andun na lahat kelangan nia mga players me kasama pa na naturalized, eh kaso baliktad yata? Nagiging talunan pa yata habang tumatagal program and me kasama pa scapegoat pag talo? Palagay ko mas effective cia pag gawin na lang siya assistant coach and can only interfere direct sa players kung payagan cia ng main coach, humiliated maciado ung naturalized player natin instead na i-motivate nia, e di mas lalo na ung mga local players. I’m not trying to give him disciplinary action, pero mas maka-contribute pa cia kung mai-impart nia sa bagong coach ung natutunan nia from the past stints nia as a coach bah.

Okey sana kung me makuha pa tau katulad nina Jeff Chan, Alapag and other legitimate shooters, wala talaga takot tumira even crucial games, iba pa rin ciempre kung mas matatangkad pa cl konti and at least ganun din ang kalibre. Slaughter must really proved his worth as our legitimate center and sana, me isa pa cl makuha pang-alternate maliban kina Fajardo and naturalized player natin,at least lagi balanse malalaki sa loob mostly pantapat sa mga Chinese and Iran giants, considering mas lalo pa cl nag-enforced additional younger, taller and more talented roster of players.
wala pa din balita kay chot mukhang nagtago sa media at mga pilipino, paano kasi paguwi ng gilas galing spain sa halip na mag prepare para sa asian games, ano ginawa ni chot , nagyabang agad dahil maganda pinakita ng gilas sa world cup, ano sinabi niya sa media? sabi ni chot pag hindi ginto makuha nila i consider niya na disappointed na iyon para sa kanya , in short nag bilang na agad ng sisiw ang hambog na si chot, minaliit agad ang south korea at iran dahil puro tambak daw sa world cup, eto ba gusto nyo na maging coach ng gilas? ang coach na mayabang at mahilig magbuhat ng sariling bangko, tama si mon fernandez sa sinabi niya kay chot at dapat maniwala tayo sa kanya kasi nakapagbigay na ng karangalan sa pinas, dapat na palitan si chot , kabisado na ang coaching style niya ng mga kalaban natin sa asya, lastly ano klase ka na coach kung ikaw na mismo ang umaamin na kung wala si blatche mahirapan tayo manalo sa asya? wala ka kwentang coach kasi asa ka lang pala sa naturalized player para manalo, UMALIS KA NA SA GILAS CHOT! AT TIGILAN MO SOBRANG PAGSIPSIP MO KAY MVP!
