magagaling ang pinili ni chot reyes, kaso bkit po wala c chris luts at jarid dillinger sa pool, we know magaling silang wing man.

C’mon now coach,Consider these guys. (We must look for intensity and steadiness)

From Talk ‘N Text: Jimmy Alapag, Jayson Castro, Ranidel De Ocampo, Larry Fonacier, Ryan Reyes, Kelly Williams
*I would like to suggest to keep Japeth Aguilar in the line up instead of Ryan Reyes who may nearing to his retirement coz of his injuries.

From Alaska: LA Tenorio and Sonny Thoss
*These two guys isn’t really playing well today in the PBA, Maybe Cyrus Baguio, He has the paasion to play for the flag.

From B-Meg: James Yap and Marc Pingris.
*James Yap has never proven He can perform in international competition, on/off in his plays in the PBA but you made a good choice in Marc Pingris.Maybe Simon would be a better choice.

From Petron: Alex Cabagnot and Arwind Santos.
*Good choice, although these two guys isn’t playing well right now, I think they’ll be motivated once again donning the country’s colors. maybe we could consider also Chris Lutz or Dondon.

From Powerade: Gary David and Marcio Lassiter
Good Choice also, thumbs up just don’t let Gary throw the ball often.

From Rain or Shine: Gabe Norwood
Not living up to his full potential but very good, Take also Jeff Chan.

    From Ginebra: Enrico Villanueva
*I’d like to give Caguioa one more try or Alein, they play the perimeter very well, that’s what we want more perimeter plays not the PBA style.

    My Final Line up:
    1. Jimmy Alapag/Jason Castro/Alex Cabagnot or *Mike Cortez
    2. Gary David/Larry Fonacier/Marc Caguioa or Alein Maliksi/P.J. Simon
    3. Arwind Santos/Japeth Aguilar/Marc Pingris/Chris Lutz or Cio Lassiter
    4. Kelly Williams/Ranidel De Ocampo
    5. Marcus Douthit/Junmar Fajardo.

*the reason I vote Mike Cortez is that He is a cerebral player, We need someone who can matchup with Daghles, Jimmy, Jason and Alex isn’t in the level of Sam.

To be a powerfull team kailangan yung may height atleast 6’5″ at yung point guard kailangan mga 2 o 3 lang at yung mahusay…sa international kahit napakahusay nung point guard mo sa PBA kung ang babantayan mo sa labas ay 6’5 or more eh di rin uubra.Kahit sabihin mo na mahusay si alapag wla ring binatbat yun>>>>sinu ba sa PBA yung may height na 6’5 at mahusay na magdala ngbola????dapat chot si japeth nde mawala sa 16 man pool mo ksi malaking bagay yun>>>dapat concentrate ka sa malalaking player at nde sa mga maliliit>>>kunin mo yung may shooting capability na malaki kesa sa mga bobol na player>>>>You have to think about enrico villanueva, castro, lassiter, pringis, alex cabagnot>>>>dami kayang mas malaki at malakas ang confident sa hardcourt…..

Please involve the fans in selecting the players not just the coaches wishes, we watch the PBA to see the players perform beyond expectations in international plays. I think the PBA owe it from us fans that we be involved thru voting who must be in the lineup,
In fairness to Chot, He deserves a second chance and all of the the past coaches of the NT but we should learn from our mistakes that only the coaches and others within the league chooses the players, we fans want to see the NT succeed and if they didn’t reach the goal, you will not be blamed since we are the ones who have chosen the lineup.

    • Russ says:

Yes i agree po dapat po pakingan din po or bigyan ng karapan bumuto ang mga funs kong sino ang dapat na karapat dapat para sa ating team Pilipinas para akin ilang kelangan natin ng mga big man kasi sa international competation malalaki ang kalaban natin so pag dating sa basketball iba na talaga ang matangkad so please Coach Chot
      subukan nyo nmn kunin sila

      Japeth Aguilar

      Fajardo

      Slaughter

      Chris Ellis

    My vote would be:
From Talk ‘N Text: Jimmy Alapag, Jayson Castro, Ranidel De Ocampo, Larry Fonacier, Japeth Aguilar,Kelly Williams
    From Alaska: Cyrus Baguio
    From B-Meg: Marc Pingris
From Petron: Chris Lutz and Arwind Santos
From Powerade: Gary David and Marcio Lassiter
From Rain or Shine: Gabe Norwood
From Ginebra: Mike Cortez (cerebral type and good size to match big PG like Sam Daghles)
Rudy Hatfield or Willie Wilson (these guys can defend and are Hustle players-we lack this type of players in previous NTs)
From Meralco: Mac Cardona (very effective perimeter game)

Center Prospects aside from Douthit: Junmar Fajardo

Why was Japeth not included in the line up of Chot, you see he has perimeter shooting good rebounding and excellent in blocking shots, he is also mobile/agile at 6’9″, his mere presence in the paint can pose threat, his plays suits international plays. I can’t beleive this

  8. Dave Nalugon says:

Where is Asi? where is Jv? Why Cabagnot And Santos in the national team squad? The team needs someone who can contribute..Coach Reyes has to open his eyes..

  9. Boom Mcfield says:

Yes, kailangan palakihin ng konti without sacrificing the speed and the shooting. With the recent line up, I think we have lots of point guard. Although this is good as Coach Chot wants the team to run but still we need to face the fact that we still need a little height to defend and rebound. We may stick with Alapag and Castro for the point guard spot backed up by Norwood. And I would prefer Baguio over Tenorio and Lutz over Cabagnot. Moreover, I think Dilinger can give a better impact than Ryan Reyes. Washington should be included over James Yap. And lastly, there is a need for additional big men. Doutit and Thoss are the legitimate centers but we still need power forward to help Williams and de Ocampo

Go Coach Chot, go Smart Gilas 2.0!!

    Boom
