Marcus Douthit supports decision of Coach Chot Reyes
If the naturalization of JaVale McGee and Andray Blatche pushes through before the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, one player from Gilas Pilipinas will surely be replaced by either McGee or Blatche and that is Marcus Douthit because in FIBA Tournaments, only 1 naturalized player can play per tournament. Marcus Douthit in his twitter account (@DouthitMarcus) posted that he supports Gilas Pilipinas Coach Chot Reyes and supports what is best for the Country.

In my own opinion,Chot Reyes should choose Marcus Douthit to play in 2014 FIBA World Cup because he already invested too much effort to bring the team into a world class game.If JaVale McGee and Andray Blatche wants to join in the team,they should start at the beginning.Its unfair in part of Marcus…..

exactly bro….i a gree with u.marcus has done so much for the team.he’s been here with us for a long time and through his efforts shown, we cannot question his loyalty to our flag.he deserves to be on a bigger stage, in such, the olympics.of course bannering our flag….
It is not about how much Marcus has invested for the past years. It is about winning the cup. He already said he will support the decision of their coach, well that only means that if the team would be better with either JaVale McGee or Andray Blatche then there is no reason to hold back the deal. Well that is my opinion.

kahit mag laro pa silang tatlo hindi parin ikakapanalo ng bansa natin, makapasok lang tayo sa world cup malaking achievement na yun.. bakit mo pa tatangalin ang isang player na malaki na ang naitulong satin. Bawi nlng sa susunod na world cup.
In my opinion Marcus still must be given a role in the team, any role. Kasi sayang naman yung binigay niya for us, effort, sweat, and heart, lalo na this past Fiba Asia Championship. Parang Beau Belga di ba? Well this is my opinion. And I think malaking adjustment ang kailangan nilang gawin. Well good luck on whatever the management decides. GO GILAS! PUSO!

bkit pa?ok n ung line-up eh..tsaka hindi pilipino un,,laban ntin ng buong pilipinas toh,,kelangan lng nten magtiwala s mga player nten,manalo man o mtalo ang mhalaga lumaban at ipinakita nten n kya nten mkarating s ganyang stage.
i think it’s better to stick with marcus,he is used with the system of the team(marcus knows how filipinos move and what are there weaknesses rather filling javale or blatche, i think it would be wise choice to stick with marcus.javale or blatche would a long period of adjustment.have javale/blatche naturalized first then play them on the ext fiba qualifier). the challenge now is how chot will select the team gilas line up that can compete with teams that have qualified in the 2014 fiba cup(i think it would be best to replace 4 to 5 five players on the current line-up that have compete in the fiba qualifiers just so team gilas can compete with best of the world and find ways to
find the weakness of opponents and use it to our advantage(gilas). if chot could read this it would be wise to have our opponent play our style rather than having our opponent dictate the phase of the game.

Maybe its much better if javale or andray play for our nati0nal team this c0ming FIBA WORLD CUP. but remember,marcus is 1 of the reas0n why we qualify in the event.its n0t h0w str0ng the team with andray or javale,its about heart and guts..that we saw t0 marcus..
