Kiefer Alas included in FIBA U16 Asia All-Star Five
Kiefer Alas who led Gilas Pilipinas Youth in scoring in most of their games was included in the 2023 FIBA U16 Asian Championship All-Star Five.
Oscar Goodman of New Zealand was named MVP of the tournament, aside from Kiefer Alas also in the All-Star Five: Lachlan Crate of New Zealand, Henry Sewell of Australia and Boyuan Zhang from China.
Kiefer Alas averaged 15.4 points per game, 8.6 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game and 1.6 steals per game, his best game was against Japan in the quarterfinals scoring 29 points to lead Philippines and secure a spot in the FIBA U17 World Cup in Turkey next year.
