Gilas Youth lost to Argentina, now 0-2 in FIBA U19
Gilas Pilipinas Youth lost to Argentina, 77-72 in the Group Phase of the 2019 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in Greece. Dave Ildefonso led Gilas Youth with 22 points and 10 rebounds as they suffered their 2nd straight loss.
Kai Sotto had another solid game with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 6 blocks. Marco Giordano led Argentina with 18 points as they won back-to-back games and remain undefeated in the FIBA U19 World Cup.
Gerry Abadiano and James Spencer scored 9 points each while Carl Tamayo with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Philippines outrebounded Argentina, 50-34 but Gilas committed 20 turnovers to only 10 by Argentina.
