Gilas Pilipinas Basketball

2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers game between Gilas Pilipinas and Thailand scheduled on February 20, 2020 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum is postponed to a later date due to the threat of the 2019 Novel Corona Virus or (COVID-19).

But the Gilas Pilipinas vs Indonesia game scheduled on February 23, 2020 in Jakarta will push through. Some games of China and Hong Kong was also postponed due to the Corona Virus.

Gilas Pilipinas is in Group A with South Korea, Indonesia and Thailand. South Korea will face Indonesia on February 20 in Jakarta to start the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.

The postponement will give Coach Mark Dickel and Gilas Pilipinas more time to prepare for the 1st window of the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.
