Philippine caging honchos are busy forming our squads for the coming Jones Cup in Taiwan, Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia and FIBA tournament in Lebanon… I can’t help but pine for the past glory days of Pinas basketball… Oh, for the days when we had the Great Difference Caloy Loysaga, spitfirish dribbling wizard Tony Genato, sentinel non pareil Ed Ocampo, downtown gunner Constancio Ortiz, Jr, hook shot master Kurt Bachmann, bicycle-driver Charlie Badion, perimeter shooting wizard Ciso Bernardo, outside bomber Jimmy Mariano, jumpshot artist Bogs Adornado, ala-Olajuwon/Parish inside operator Mon Fernandez, and all-around dude like Jawo! Dem wer da glori deys of Pinas caging! Small wonder then that we lorded it over our Asian neighbors. Ooohhh!!!
