Gilas Pilipinas lost to Italy by 36
Gilas Pilipinas with another big loss before the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, this time to Italy, 106-70 in a Pocket Tournament held in Italy. Italy started the game on a 22-0 run led by NBA player Danilo Gallinari with 20 points. Andray Blatche led Gilas with 21 points and 6 rebounds while Troy Rosario and Terrence Romeo with 10 points each. Jayson Castro contributed 9 points.
Another NBA Player Bellineli scored 11 points for Italian National Basketball Team. Italy shot 10/16 from the three-point line as Gilas failed to defend the three-point arc again. In the 1st game, Canada beat China, 95-69, this means Italy will face Canada and Gilas Pilipinas will face China today, June 26 at 12 midnight.
Coach Tab Baldwin will announce the Gilas Pilipinas Final 12 before the game vs China.

i agree with coach tab, they’re definitely the best basketball players right now. i just would like to reiterate my position that height is still might in basketball. if we should increase our chances of winning, blatche and fajardo should be playing at the same time, ibuhos na natin lahat,especially 1st and 4th quarter. 2nd and 3rd quarter, they may not play together for obvious reasons of exhaustion. they’re complement. if blatche shoots outside, fajardo can definitely help blatche in rebounding and scoring like tip-in, follow-up or put back. please review gilas vs senegal. see what happened when they’re playing together – PHILS WON.
