Gilas Pilipinas lost to China by just 2pts, Clarkson with 28pts in debut
Gilas Pilipinas lost to China, 82-80 in their 2nd game of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. Jordan Clarkson with 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in his debut for Philippines.
Zhou Qi led China with 25 points along with 12 rebounds and 7 blocks. Christian Standhardinger played well with 18 points and 8 rebounds while Stanley Pringle contributed 14 points.
Paul Lee had a chance to win the game but missed a three-point shot in the final seconds of the game. China led most of the game before Jordan Clarkson waxed hot in the 3rd quarter. Standhardinger and Pringle made key baskets to take the lead in the 4th quarter but China scored the last 5 points to win the game.
Next game will be in the quarterfinals on Aug 27, the only way we will be eliminated in the preliminary round is if Kazakhstan will beat China by 36 points. We will face South Korea in the knockout quarterfinals.

Inexperience was shown in the game the the dying seconds of the game. Gilas Pilipinas has position itself to win the game but collapsed due to inexperience and to some of its unfortunate thing happened to some players.
