Gilas Pilipinas beat Blackwater and Alaska in Tune-up game
Gilas Pilipinas defeated Blackwater Elite, 105-101 last Friday, July 7 at the Meralco Gym and also beat Alaska Aces, 120-117 last Saturday, July 8 at the Gatorade Hoops Center.

Carl Bryan Cruz led Gilas vs Blackwater with 22 points (5/10 from 3). Fil-German Christian Standhardinger who was recently approved by FIBA as a naturalized player scored 13 points and with 7 rebounds against the Elite.
Jio Jalalon suffered a sprained ankle against Blackwater and did not play in the game against Alaska.
Kiefer Ravena made the cluch three-pointer vs Alaska and finished with 14 points.
In the game against Alaska, import Mike Myers scored 17 points and grabbed 18 rebound while Christian Standhardinger contributed 15 points and 15 rebounds. Matthew Wright and Carl Bryan Cruz with 15 points each for Gilas.
Gilas Pilipinas was 3-0 in the series of tune-up games as they also beat NLEX in their 1st tune-up game. Read more:

Gilas Pilipinas will now play in the 2017 Jones Cup which will start on July 15 in Taipei, Taiwan.
