FIBA OQT Semifinals: Gilas Pilipinas vs Brazil
Gilas Pilipinas vs Brazil in the semifinals of the 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament on July 6, 8:30pm PH Time. In the other semifinals matchup, Latvia will go up against Cameroon.
Winners of both semifinals game will face each other in the FIBA OQT Finals and the winner of the finals will take a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Philippines with a 1-1 record in Group Phase as they won against host Latvia and lost to Georgia. Brazil also with a 1-1 record in the Group phase as they beat Montenegro but lost to Cameroon.
In both games of Gilas Pilipinas, Justin Brownlee led the team with 26 and 28 points respectively. Bruno Cabuclo led Brazil with 25 points against Montenegro while Leo Meindl top scored for Brazil against Cameroon. Brazil finished 13th place in the FIBA World Cup in Manila last year.
