Canada defeats New Zealand to enter FIBA OQT Finals
Canada defeated New Zealand, 78-72 to enter the Finals of the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament led by Cory Joseph with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Tristan Thompson with a double-double for Team Canada – 13 points and 10 rebounds
Melvin Ejim with also 13 points and 7 rebounds for Canada while Anthony Bennett scored 9 points. Cory Webster led New Zealand with 21 points while Thomas Abercrombie with 16 points. Tai Webster contributed 15 points for the Tall Blacks.
Canada will face the winner of the France vs Turkey Semifinals game.
