Philippines now 3-0 and No. 1 in Group A. Next for Gilas Pilipinas is the knockout semifinals on Friday, August 25 vs No. 2 of Group B
Scores:
Philippines 98 – Standhardinger 18, Paras 16, Ravena 12, Rosario 12, Amer 10, Ferrer 6, Vosotros 6, Tolomia 5, Jose 4, Pessumal 4, Cruz 3, Parks 2.
Even if the refs — maybe from orders from ABOVE — kicked out 7 of our Gilas team, with that kind of score, Malaysia still wouldn’t have a Chinaman’s chance! Hehe.
Parks has been a TOTAL BUST in this Gilas team. How in tarnation did this boy became MVP in PBA D-League? I cannot see anything good from him so far. EVen in the Jones Cup.
The opposition against GILAS in this SEAG basketball is plenty WEAK. Who else could give them a good game? If the meet Thailand again, I bet they’ll win by 20 plus. Thailand has only on good player in Tyler Lamb. Shackle him and it’s CASE CLOSED! NEXT!
Kobe Paras can really play ball. But he’s gotta improve on his outside shooting & tone down his being hyper. But I love him entertaining the crowd,a trueblue poster boy of the young Gilas team. I like the leadership and cool play of Kiefer Ravena. He will be a force to reckon with should he join the PBA.
And Jong Uichico is a better coach than Chot Reyes. His team have better teamwork than that team that played in Lebanon.
