Philippines lost to Iran, finished 4th place in Jones Cup 2018
Philippines (Ateneo Blue Eagles) lost to Iran, 70-63 in their final game in the 2018 Jones Cup as they finished 4th place in the tournament held in Taipei, Taiwan.
Matt Nieto led Ateneo with 14 points while Thirdy Ravena with 12 points. A win could have given Philippines a Bronze Medal but Ateneo still had a good run in the Jones Cup.
Angelo Kouame scored 11 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Gian Mamuyac and Isaac Go scored 9 points each for the Blue Eagles.
Ateneo finished the Jones Cup with a 5-3 record as they matched the 4th place finish by the Gilas Cadets last year.
