In my opinion,it is lack of preparation why the Philippines almost always fall short of expectations in basketball games against foreign teams, players are just pooled and put in practice in too short weeks time, unlike in other countries that spend long months & even years of preparation for their national ball teams. Players must get familiar with each other in styles of movement, and even personal attitude & temperament. That it is even best to get real natural-born Filipino players, in looks and in hearts. It is heart-breaking to hear sideline comments like that of the Philippines basketball team even is a mixture of local & foreign-look naturalized players in hope to be at par but still a string loser. The bottom line here is concentrated looooong preparation, not an abrupt selection of team players who shall just be subjected to punishing actual basketball game stints, and end up a serial loser, what a shame!
