Gilas Pilipinas Youth lost to Spain, 96-34 in their 2nd game in the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup last June 30 held in Istanbul Turkey.
Gilas Pilipinas U17 coached by Josh Reyes struggled in their 2nd game and scored only 2 points in the 1st quarter against Spain, 30-2. Philippines was outrebounded by Spain, 71-22.
Maximo Garcia-Plata led Spain with 15 points while Bonn Daja led Philippines with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Joaquin Ludovice scored 7 points.
Gilas Pilipinas Youth shot only 10% from the three-point line (3 out of 30) and only with 7 assists.
