Gilas Pilipinas U17 lost to Lithuania by 59

Gilas Pilipinas Youth (Under 17) lost to Lithuania, 107-48 in their 1st game in the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup in Istanbul, Turkey held last June 29.

CJ Amos led Gilas Pilipinas U17 with 10 points and no other Gilas player scored in double digits as the team is missing their top scorer Kiefer Alas, who is out of the tournament due to a knee injury. CJ Amos is the younger brother of Gilas Pilipinas player Mason Amos.

Kurt Velasquez scored 8 points and Bonn Daja contributed 7 points as the team struggled shooting just 21.9% (16/73) from the field and shot only 17.1% from the three-point line (6/35).
