Gilas Pilipinas lost to India in 1st game of FIBA Asia Challenge
Gilas Pilipinas lost to India, 91-83 in the opening day of the 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge in Tehran, Iran. Mac Belo led Gilas 5.0 with 21 points and also with 5 boards.
Ed Daquioag scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds while Russel Escoto contributed 11 points. Mike Tolomia scored 10 points but shot only 3/15 from the field.
Kevin Ferrer shot blanks the whole game going 1/9 from the 3-point line while Arnold Van Opstal did not score and was in foul trouble.
Rest day tomorrow for Gilas Pilipinas, they will face Chinese-Taipei on September 11.
