Gilas Pilipinas lost to Chinese-Taipei
Gilas Pilipinas lost to Chinese-Taipei, 87-76 in their 2nd game of the 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge in Tehran, Iran. Mac Belo led Gilas 5.0 with 17 points and also with 7 rebounds.
Jaymar Perez played well with 15 points (7/12 FGs). Mike Tolomia and Kevin Ferrer with 11 points each. Arnold Van Opstal with only 2 points but grabbed 8 rebounds. Naturalized player Quincy Davis led Chinese-Taipei with 19 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists.
Game was still tied at the end of the 3rd quarter but Chinese-Taipei pulled away in the 4th. Gilas Pilipinas now 0-2 but will still advance to the 2nd round.
