Gilas Pilipinas beat New Zealand

Gilas Pilipinas finally beat New Zealand, 93-89 in the 2024 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers held at the Mall of Asia Arena. Justin Brownlee led Philippines with 26 points and with 11 rebounds and 4 assists.

Kai Sotto vs New Zealand

Solid game by Kai Sotto with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal. Scottie Thompson is back in Gilas after an injury and scored 12 points along with 4 rebounds and 6 assists.

Dwight Ramos and Chris Newsome with 11 points each for Gilas. Coach Tim Cone played only 10 players as Mason Amos and Kevin Quiambao did not play against New Zealand.

Gilas Pilipinas now with a 3-0 record and will face Hong Kong this Sunday, November 24 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
