FIBA ACQ: Gilas Pilipinas beat Indonesia by 30
2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers: Gilas Pilipinas defeated Indonesia, 100-70 in their 1st game using a young core led by Thirdy Ravena with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks.
Biggest lead of Gilas Pilipinas was 32 points and outrebounded Indonesia, 55-33. Philippines shot well with 45.8% 2 points field goals and 37% 3 point field goals but shot only 72.7% from the free throw line with Thirdy Ravena making only 6 out of 10 from the free throw line.
Gilas Pilipinas Team Captain Kiefer Ravena contributed 10 points, 3 assists and 4 steals while Gilas veteran Roger Pogoy with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. CJ Perez with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals.
Juan Gomez de Liano scored 10 points in his Gilas Pilipinas debut.
This was also the first game of Mark Dickel as acting Head Coach of Gilas Pilipinas.
