Big loss by Batang Gilas against France
Batang Gilas lost to France, 95-54 in the 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup held in Argentina last July 2, 2018.
It was just a 6 point lead at the half, 38-32 but France dominated the 2nd half specially the 3rd quarter where they outscored Philippines, 35-13. Carl Vincent Tamayo led Batang Gilas Pilipinas with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.
Malcolm Cazalon led France with 18 points. Kai Sotto who had a spectacular game against Croatia with just 7 points and 6 rebounds. Gerry Abadiano scored 17 points for Batang Gilas.
Philippines committed 21 turnovers while France with only 10 and was outrebounded, 52-38. Batang Gilas was just 2/18 from the three-point line.
