– 4 players with double figures including Marcio Lassiter with 15 points and Kelly Williams with 12 points who also had a big 4th quarter
– Rebounding edge by Philippines, 44-31
– Japan missed 8 free throws (16/28)

Philippines defeats Jordan, 72-64
Game Highlights:
– Jordan led by as much as 16 points, 27-11 in the 1st quarter
– Marcus Douthit led Smart Gilas with 19 points and 15 rebounds, Douthit injured in his ankle in the 3rd quarter but came back after a few minutes
– Marcio Lassiter played big in his 1st game in the FIBA Asia Championship scoring 14 points with 4 rebounds and 2 assists
– Jimmy Alapag scored in double figures with 11 points
– Chris Tiu scored 9 points, 7 in the 1st half
– Jordan had the edge in rebounding, 53-43
– Jordan placed the game under protest due to both teams being informed before the game that Lutz and Lassiter cannot play and then in the 1st quarter were already allowed to play already.
