Gilas Pilipinas comeback falls short against Lebanon
Gilas Pilipinas lost to Lebanon, 74-68 in their 3rd tune-up game before the 5th window of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers. Japeth Aguilar led Gilas with 16 points.
Lebanon led by 16 points at the half, 44-28 but Gilas Pilipinas had a great 3rd quarter to trim the lead to 2, 55-57 led by Marcio Lassiter who finished with 11 points. June Mar Fajardo scored 9 points.
Ali Haidar led Lebanon with 20 points, who will face Gilas Pilipinas again this Sunday, November 25 in their final tune-up game before the FIBA Qualifiers.
Gilas will face Kazakhstan on November 30 and Iran on December 3, both games at the Mall of Asia Arena.
